Blankets

Help us meet our goal of 100 for UCSF by August 10, 2010. We will also be collecting new and handmade receiving blankets to send to babies as we are informed of their premature birth.

Hello Erin,

I found out about your project from my cousin Ben (Project GO). I’m a knitter, sewer and quilter and think this would be a wonderful way to deploy some crafty energy. Do you have parameters or guidelines for handmade items? Is it enough if they are machine-washable and soft? Let me know and I’ll start working on some snuggly things.

Hi Andrea!
Thanks for asking! There are no parameters, just ask that the beanies be preemie size (I can get you patterns) and both blankets and beanies be new, either store bought or handmade. I am currently working on taggie blankets and hope to post pics and pattern soon.
